The newest episode of Beat Bobby Flay served up more than culinary competition—it also delivered one of the sweetest and most talked-about moments between Bobby Flay and his girlfriend, fellow celebrity chef Brooke Williamson.
In a preview released by Food Network ahead of the July 14 episode, Williamson joined the show as a guest judge alongside chef Damaris Phillips. What began as a routine walk toward the contestants’ cooking stations quickly turned into a lighthearted romantic moment that immediately caught fans’ attention.
As Williamson stood up and said she was going to check on the competitors, Flay suddenly interrupted with a smile.
“Can I help you get to the kitchen?”
Before Williamson could respond, Phillips jokingly suggested that Flay should simply carry her over.
To everyone’s surprise, he actually did.
Flay scooped Williamson into his arms and carried her across the studio toward the contestants’ stations while she laughed uncontrollably. Phillips could only react by shouting, “Oh my gosh!” as the playful moment unfolded in front of everyone.
After gently setting Williamson down beside one of the competitors, Phillips jokingly summed up what many viewers were thinking.
“That makes me feel like the third wheel.”

The short clip quickly spread across social media, with Food Network fans flooding the comments to react to the couple’s chemistry.
Many viewers found the interaction adorable.
One fan joked that their longtime crush on Bobby Flay was officially over now that he was clearly happy with someone else.
Another laughed that everyone watching suddenly felt like the third wheel after witnessing the couple’s playful exchange.
Even chef Christina Miros, one of the competitors featured in the episode, joined the fun by commenting, “Date night at my station.”
Not everyone, however, thought the romantic display belonged on a cooking competition.
Some viewers argued that while everyone already knows the two celebrity chefs are dating, they would prefer to see the relationship kept separate from the competition itself.
One commenter suggested the affectionate moment felt unnecessary, while another wrote that the pair should remain more professional while filming the show.

The playful moment wasn’t the only time Flay publicly teased his girlfriend during the episode.
In another preview released before the broadcast, the Food Network star introduced his guests with a joke that immediately made Williamson laugh.
“Tonight I have the honor of welcoming two lovely ladies,” Flay said. “One is my friend, and one is my frequent lover.”
He then introduced Williamson by adding another playful remark.
“The woman who makes my coffee and toasts my bread every morning.”
Laughing at the description, Williamson fired back with a question.
“Do I have to toast your bread every morning?”
Flay answered with perfect comedic timing.
“No… but sometimes you should. I like breakfast.”
Williamson then reminded him that she had already promised to make pancakes for him that weekend.
“I will,” she assured him.
Their easygoing banter offered fans another glimpse into a relationship that has become one of Food Network’s most popular celebrity romances.
Flay and Williamson publicly confirmed their relationship in March 2025 after years of friendship within the culinary world. Since then, the two have occasionally shared lighthearted moments together, but this latest episode may be their most openly affectionate appearance on television yet.
Whether fans viewed the playful lift as charming or slightly unprofessional, one thing is clear: for a few unforgettable seconds, Beat Bobby Flay became less about defeating Bobby Flay and more about watching one of Food Network’s favorite couples enjoy a genuinely fun moment together.
