Food Network is adding another major title to its summer 2026 lineup with the launch of Kitchen Undercover, an all-new restaurant rescue series that promises a fresh twist on one of the network’s most popular genres.

Rather than following the traditional makeover formula, Kitchen Undercover has been described as a high-stakes, “sneak-attack” restaurant rescue, where the hosts secretly investigate struggling businesses before revealing themselves to the owners. The series is scheduled to premiere on July 28, 2026.

At the center of the show is celebrity chef Antonia Lofaso, who takes on the role of lead rescuer. Known for her competitive success on Food Network and years of restaurant experience, Lofaso oversees each mission from a hidden command center, watching every service unfold in real time before stepping in to address the problems threatening each business.

Joining her is Nestor Milian, who serves as both sous-chef and undercover operative. Unlike Antonia, Milian blends directly into the restaurant staff, working alongside employees while secretly observing kitchen operations, team dynamics, customer service, and the issues that may not be obvious at first glance. His mission is to uncover the real reasons customers have stopped coming back before Antonia makes her dramatic entrance.

According to Food Network, the restaurants featured in the series are businesses that are only one bad review away from shutting their doors for good. Rather than simply redesigning the dining room or refreshing the menu, Kitchen Undercover focuses on exposing deeper problems—from dysfunctional staff relationships and poor leadership to inconsistent food quality and communication breakdowns.
