The couple is preparing to face off in the upcoming season of BBQ Brawl, where Williamson steps into a new role as team captain alongside Flay and returning champion Maneet Chauhan.

The shift marks a significant transition for Williamson, who previously served as a judge on the show. According to Flay, the change had been a long time coming. “She’s always wanted to mentor and cook on the show,” he explained earlier this year, noting that the opportunity only became possible under one condition: they wouldn’t judge each other.

Instead, they’ll compete.

And if early previews are any indication, that competition will be anything but gentle.

While the Derby weekend showcased their relaxed, affectionate side, BBQ Brawl promises a more intense dynamic — one where personal relationships take a back seat to strategy and performance.
