Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is celebrating a special milestone for his oldest daughter, Megan Ramsay, who recently turned 28.

On May 16, Gordon shared a heartfelt birthday message on Instagram dedicated to Megan, giving fans another glimpse into the famously close Ramsay family dynamic.

“Happy Birthday to this beautiful woman, @megan_jane_7,” Gordon wrote.

He continued:

“Every day you make me so proud with what you do and how much you do for others. Love you so much. Dad ❤️”

Megan is the oldest of Gordon and Tana Ramsay’s six children. The couple welcomed Megan in 1998, followed by twins Holly Ramsay and Jack Ramsay in 1999, Tilly Ramsay in 2001, son Oscar in 2019, and their youngest son Jesse in 2023.

Gordon has frequently spoken publicly about how proud he is of Megan, especially regarding her career in public service. In a previous interview, he described her as “an incredible police officer.”

Recently, the Ramsay family opened up even more about their personal lives through the Netflix docuseries Being Gordon Ramsay, which focuses not only on Gordon’s career but also his role as a husband and father.

Speaking about the series, Gordon explained that he wanted audiences to see a more authentic side of his life outside the kitchen.

“I wanted to show the other side, the other half of me,” he said, adding that the show avoided feeling overly staged or sanitized.

The chef also revealed that the series captures plenty of real family chaos, especially with their younger children Oscar and Jesse growing up alongside their much older siblings.

According to Gordon, the two youngest boys are obsessed with family gatherings and love spending time with their older brothers and sisters.

The Ramsays reportedly maintain a long-running tradition of gathering together every Sunday for lunch, something Gordon says remains incredibly important to the family.

He described the dinners as lively and emotional, with conversations ranging from world events to Oscar’s school progress and even his French lessons.

The Netflix series also highlights Tilly Ramsay’s growing interest in following her father into the culinary world.

Rather than training directly under Gordon, Tilly chose to attend culinary school in Ireland to build her own path independently — a decision Gordon said made him extremely proud.

“Finally, one out of six wants to be a chef,” Gordon joked.
