Guy Fieri is celebrating a major milestone for his oldest son, Hunter Fieri, who turned 30 on August 13, 2026—and the Food Network star marked the occasion with an emotional tribute filled with family memories.

Guy shared a collection of photos on Instagram Thursday, featuring Hunter throughout the years, from childhood snapshots to more recent moments with his wife and family.

“Happy 30th Birthday to my best friend/son, HUNTER,” Guy wrote, reflecting on how quickly the years had passed.

“Wow!! 30 years went by fast?! What an adventure it’s been with you, Hunter,” he continued, looking back on everything from Hunter’s difficult birth to the sleepless nights of his first year and eventually watching his son grow into an adventurous young man.

Guy also praised the person Hunter has become, describing him as kind, respectful and genuine.

“You’ve given Mom and Dad the greatest lessons and experiences in life,” Guy wrote. “You are a kind, respectful and genuine person… we couldn’t be more proud of you.”

The proud father also looked toward Hunter’s future, celebrating the accomplishments that have brought him to this new chapter of his life.

“Dad did pretty good making it to 30 and we can’t wait to see what you do next,” Guy wrote before wishing his son a happy birthday and signing the heartfelt message with, “Love, Dad.”

Hunter is Guy and Lori Fieri’s oldest son. Born in Santa Rosa, California, he grew up alongside his younger brother, Ryder, in a family where food, television and adventure were always part of everyday life.

But Guy has repeatedly emphasized that he never wanted Hunter to simply live in his father’s shadow.

Instead, he encouraged his son to create an identity of his own.

Hunter previously recalled one of his father’s most important pieces of advice: “You can’t just be Guy Fieri’s son. If you really want to conquer this world, you have to be Hunter Fieri.”

That philosophy has shaped Hunter’s career.

After graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Hunter began carving out his own path in the culinary and entertainment world. He has appeared alongside his father on shows including Guy’s Grocery Games and Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, while also pursuing projects separate from Guy’s television empire.

In 2021, Hunter launched one of his own projects with What Plants Can Do, a short documentary following his trip to North Dakota to explore how ZENB produces pasta made from yellow peas.

Hunter has also continued building his career within the family business while developing his own personality and style.

Guy has previously said that he hopes Hunter will eventually take over Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. However, the celebrity chef has also made it clear that he wants his son to establish himself independently before stepping into a larger role in the family business.

“I want him to have a few years to create his own style, his own personality and his own message,” Guy previously explained.

That day may eventually come, but for now, Guy appears content watching his son build a life and career of his own.

Hunter’s personal life has also entered an exciting new chapter. He proposed to professional pickleball player Tara Bernstein during the Fieri family’s Thanksgiving celebration in November 2023, and the couple married in August 2025 in a country-elegant wedding at the family’s California ranch.

Now, as Hunter celebrates his 30th birthday, Guy’s message makes one thing abundantly clear: despite all the fame and success surrounding the Fieri family, being a proud father remains one of Guy’s greatest roles.

And after three decades of watching Hunter grow from a little boy into a husband, entrepreneur and television personality, Guy isn’t just celebrating his son’s birthday.

He’s celebrating the man Hunter has become—and everything he still has ahead of him.
