Season 7 introduces a major shake-up with Brooke Williamson stepping into a brand-new role as a captain, joining returning veterans Bobby Flay and Maneet Chauhan.

For longtime fans of the show, Williamson’s transition from judge to captain marks a significant shift. Having been part of the judging panel since early seasons, she now finally gets the opportunity to step into the competitive arena herself. And she’s clearly ready for it. In the trailer, Williamson confidently declares, “I’ve been wanting to get my hands dirty for years,” signaling that she’s eager to prove herself not just as a critic, but as a leader and competitor.

Meanwhile, Bobby Flay wastes no time stirring the pot. Welcoming Chauhan back after her team’s victory in season 6, he playfully acknowledges her status as the “reigning barbecue world champ” before turning his attention to Williamson. “Got some new blood in the house,” he says, hinting at the unpredictable dynamic this new captain will bring.
