THIS is the moment a paraglider loses control during take-off and crashes into a crowd of beachgoers on a packed shoreline.
Terrifying footage shows the pilot attempting to launch from Kemos Beach in Turkey.
The airman is seen preparing for take-off with a motor strapped to his back as stunned beachgoers watch on.
As he gathers speed and his parachute unfurls above him, he suddenly realises he is on a collision course with two people standing near the water’s edge.
Spotting the approaching paraglider at the last moment, the pair desperately try to get out of the way.
The pilot crashes into them, sending them both tumbling onto the sand.
The force of the impact also causes him to lose control and veer off course.
He then ploughs into another group of beachgoers sheltering beneath an umbrella as parts of the motor are flung into the air.
In the immediate aftermath, shouts and screams can be heard as concerned bystanders rush to the scene.
Emergency services were called and paramedics treated the injured before taking them to the hospital.
Three people were reportedly hurt in the shocking incident.
Officials said the injured victims suffered wounds to various parts of their bodies but are not believed to be in a life-threatening condition.
Authorities have since launched both judicial and administrative investigations into the crash.
The pilot was later taken to a local police station to give a statement.
Investigators are now focusing on whether he held the necessary licence and permits to carry out the take-off from the beach.
This is not the first time a paraglider has got into trouble.
Last week, a British man was killed in a paragliding accident in Spain after he got tangled in power lines.
The thrillseeker, 63, was flying over the historic village of Palau de Noguera in the Catalan province of Lleida.
Three teams of firefighters and several fire engines raced the scene after receiving an emergency call on Wednesday afternoon.
However, despite their best efforts, they could not save the paraglider – who died of his injuries.
Cops launched a probe into the Brit’s death, but sources claim that the death is being treated as an accident.
Palau de Noguera is located at the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains and is often used as a base camp for accessing paragliding hotspot Àger.
