A slap in the face for UK security: Radical Islamist remains in the country despite deportation order. The shocking truth behind the legal loopholes allowing a dangerous individual to stay—even after being denied asylum—has sparked public outrage.

EXCLUSIVE: Slap in the face for UK security as Al-Qaeda bomb plotter is allowed to stay in Britain despite ASYLUM REJECTION and wife’s ISIS links

Shah Rahman

Shah Rahman was jailed in 2012 – alongside three other extremists inspired by Al-Qaeda – over the plot

In a staggering betrayal of national security that will spark a fresh wave of public fury, a radical Islamist who plotted to blow up the London Stock Exchange has been allowed to remain on British soil—despite his asylum claim being rejected and his own wife being barred from the country for her ties to ISIS.

Shah Rahman, one of the nation’s most dangerous extremists, was jailed in 2012 alongside a gang of Al-Qaeda-inspired fanatics. Their chilling mission? To bring death and destruction to the heart of London’s financial district. Yet, in a move that makes a mockery of our borders, it can today be revealed that Rahman is still living in the UK because of “human rights” loopholes that appear to protect the perpetrator over the public.

A Plot to Cripple Britain

Rahman married Mauritian national Parveen Purbhoo while on license in 2019 at East London Mosque

The shocking details of Rahman’s residency emerged following a fresh immigration case involving his wife, Parveen Purbhoo. For years, the truth was hidden behind a veil of legal restrictions, but the lifting of these bans has exposed a system that seems utterly powerless to deport those who wish us harm.

Rahman was a key player in the 2010 plot to target the Stock Exchange, a conspiracy that mirrored the horror of the 7/7 attacks. Sentenced to six years in 2012, he served just five before he was released onto Britain’s streets on license.

While the Home Office attempted to deny him refugee status under Article 51 of the Refugee Convention—which permits the rejection of those guilty of terrorist acts—they were blocked by the judiciary.

Officers searched her phone and discovered Isis-related videos and images

The ‘Human Rights’ Loophole

In a ruling that will leave taxpayers reeling, a judge decreed that Rahman could not be sent back to his native Bangladesh. The reason? Deporting the convicted terrorist would supposedly be a breach of his human rights under Article 3 of the Human Rights Convention.

“He was granted restricted leave to remain in the United Kingdom on the basis that he could not be removed to Bangladesh without breach of his rights… to be free from torture, inhuman, or degrading treatment,” the judgement read.

Essentially, Rahman has been handed a “golden ticket” to stay in the country he once conspired to attack, all because our legal system prioritizes his safety over the security of the British public.

The ISIS Wife and the Heathrow Discovery

The case takes an even more sinister turn with the involvement of Rahman’s wife, Mauritian national Parveen Purbhoo. The pair wed in an Islamic ceremony at the East London Mosque in 2019 while Rahman was still on license.

The security failures that followed are nothing short of breath-taking:

  • August 2021: Purbhoo touches down at Heathrow Airport to formalize her marriage.

  • The Search: Officers search her phone and discover a digital chamber of horrors: ISIS-related videos, images of soldiers, and extremist Islamist propaganda.

  • The Failure: Despite this discovery, she was incredibly allowed to enter the country and live with her terrorist husband.

The couple lived together until 2022, when Rahman was hauled back to prison for breaching his license by hiding a bank account, email address, and phone from probation services. A forensic psychology report later noted that Purbhoo was “complicit” in her husband’s deceptive behavior.

Migrant crisis: Islamist terrorist allowed to stay in Britain - despite having asylum claim turned down

‘Troubling and Risky’

On Monday, Purbhoo was finally denied the right to appeal against her permanent exclusion from Britain. Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman had previously barred her for life, a decision the court has now upheld, labeling her a “national security risk.”

The judgement was scathing: “The applicant was complicit in Mr Rahman’s unlawful breach… she has not provided an explanation of how Islamist material came to be on her phone. Her willingness to place her own interests over legal processes is troubling and risky.”

The Public Outrage

While Purbhoo is now barred, her husband—the man who actually plotted to detonate bombs in our capital—remains here. Critics say this case is the “perfect storm” of failed immigration policy and the overreach of human rights law.

“It is a total slap in the face,” said one security source. “We catch them, we jail them, we try to deport them, and then a judge tells us we can’t because it might be ‘unpleasant’ for them back home. Meanwhile, they are free to marry individuals with ISIS material on their phones and continue to flaunt our laws.”

As Rahman remains in the UK on “restricted leave,” the question for the Home Office remains: How many more dangerous radicals are hiding behind Article 3 while the British public pays the price?
