JAIL TRUTH I’ve seen court docs that PROVE exactly why Lee Andrews was banged up in Dubai – & why he could be heading back to jail
The Sun can reveal two of the cases up against Katie Price’s husband in full for the first time… and how he is said to have visited a salon on Monday to enquire about a permanent wig
WITH wild claims of espionage, kidnapping and arrests at gun point, the baffling case of Lee Andrews is the tale which keeps on giving.
And on Tuesday night it took a further ludicrous twist when the man at the centre of the allegations took to Instagram to share his side of the story – complete with what appeared to be a new head of hair.
His detractors were quick to mock him, suggesting he hadn’t been holed-up in Dubai’s notorious Al Awir prison for the past four weeks – rather he’d nipped off to Turkey for a hair transplant.
Finally, then, The Sun can reveal two of the cases up against Katie Price’s husband in full for the first time – proving he really was behind bars.
One of them, filed electronically on 4th June 2025 by Rotana Star Rent-a-car, pertains to the hiring of a rental car which Lee did not pay off – this is despite the fact he has previously insisted he owns a fleet of sports’ cars, at least two of which he has gifted to women including his wife.
This matter is understood to date back to 2022 – meaning it is not the Ferrari he ”bought” Katie.
The outstanding debt totals 266,060 Dirhams – around £54,000.
The other case which instigated a warrant for his arrest goes back to January 13th last year.
According to the documents, he owes 74,817.50 Dirhams – £15,000 – to an UAE legal firm – which suggests unpaid legal fees.
It is not a fine, but would have meant he would not be able to leave Dubai without it flagging to CID.
He was not, however, “actively wanted” by police officials at this stage.
My sources tell me Lee must pay off his debts within 14 days – or will face re-arrest.
Lee appeared before a judge to appeal for more time to pay off his debts – and wife Katie has not paid a penny, as she has always claimed.
In the execution of judgement, representatives for Lee state: “The judgement debtor appeared before the court and was questioned regarding the reason for failure to pay the debt.
“He stated his wife is currently outside the country and that he has been unable to access his bank account required to make payment.
“He requested a period of 14 days in order to settle the outstanding amount.”
A source said: “Lee managed to talk himself out of jail, and said he would be able to raise the capital himself.
“He says Kate has been his rock, and helped him liaise with officials when he was banged-up – but that he hasn’t asked her to pay off any of his debts. He insists he can do that himself.”
The conman – who took £1,000 off me but who, over the weekend, insisted my money was still coming – was arrested last month, with the glamour model, 48, originally thinking he was dead.
She then thought he had gone missing and filed a missing person’s report – effectively sparking an international manhunt for the fraudster.
In an interview with The Sun last week, Katie claimed she was going to interrogate her husband on the various allegations levelled against him – and would call time on the marriage if she wasn’t satisfied with the answers.
However upon his release on Friday, she flew to Dubai the following day to reunite with him – and appears to have taken him back.
In the video posted to Instagram, Lee reasserted that he was captured by the National Guard, arrested and taken to a “black site”, before thanking his wife, Katie Price, for getting him out of the situation.
“I’ve been missing now for several weeks,” he said. “I can tell you I’m now safe and healthy and I’m with my wife.”
He then claimed he was “taken at gunpoint” by men “with assault rifles,” close to the Hatta-Oman border.
However, his post quickly went viral largely because the self-proclaimed multi-millionaire seemed to have a wig on.
Yesterday, a Dubai-based trichologist from Hair Repair Club contacted The Sun to claim Lee had visited his salon on Monday to enquire about a permanent wig.
He declined their services when he was told he would require a patch test and “colour matching” first.
It is thought Lee may well have used a filter on his video to give the appearance of a thatch instead.
