Prince Harry’s return to the UK might look, from the outside, like a step back toward the world he left behind in 2020. He is once again physically closer to the Royal Family, back in the country where many of his oldest relationships were formed, and surrounded by people who once knew him long before Megxit changed everything.

But the more revealing story may be that distance is no longer the main problem.

According to StyleCaster, drawing on reports from Hello! and the Daily Mail, Harry’s relationships with Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are now said to be dramatically weaker than they once were. That matters because Eugenie, in particular, was once viewed as one of the relatives Harry remained genuinely close to even after his break from royal life.

Now, that closeness appears to have largely disappeared.

An insider said, “Harry and Meghan are not so close to Beatrice and Eugenie anymore,” adding that Harry did not see Eugenie during the summer in Portugal.

The detail is striking because both couples reportedly have homes there.

Harry and Meghan were said to have been in Portugal in July 2026, but still did not meet with Eugenie. One possible explanation offered was that Eugenie was “heavily pregnant” at the time.

Even so, the source emphasized that the lack of contact represented a real change.

This was not always a distant relationship.

Harry and Eugenie had once been so close that Harry and Meghan allowed Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, to stay at Frogmore Cottage when they needed somewhere to live.

That history makes the current situation harder to dismiss as simple scheduling.

“They’re not that close anymore,” the source said.

And Beatrice appears to be part of the same pattern.

Another claim suggested that Harry and Meghan are now barely in contact with either sister, while Harry himself is said to have very few remaining friends from his pre-Megxit life.

That means his return to Britain may involve a much more difficult social problem than simply arranging meetings with King Charles or repairing ties with Prince William.

He may have to rebuild an entire circle that no longer functions the way it once did.

One insider put it plainly: Harry and Meghan may have to make “some serious social inroads and gatherings to get back in the fold.”

That phrase says a great deal.

Being back in Britain does not automatically mean being back inside the family network.

And the emotional atmosphere surrounding Harry may make that process even harder.

Separate reports claim Harry returned to the UK still deeply angry about what happened around Megxit.

A Daily Mail source described him as “spitting blood” at certain members of his family and said he still expects an apology from them.

That expectation reportedly extends beyond relatives.

Harry is also said to remain frustrated with the senior palace officials and royal courtiers he has previously referred to as the “men in grey suits.”

He has accused those figures of trying to sabotage his attempts at reconciliation with King Charles.

The language is particularly notable because it echoes the way Princess Diana once spoke about royal courtiers whom she believed were working against her.

In other words, Harry’s return does not appear to have erased the grievances he carried when he left.

Friends who have met him since he came back were reportedly surprised by how little his position had changed.

Another described the situation as “shocking and quite sad.”

That reaction seems to have come from people who expected something different.

According to the report, some of Harry’s friends thought he might return feeling regretful or prepared to apologize for at least part of what had happened.

Instead, the source claimed “there will be no imminent mea culpa from Harry.”

The reason is simple: he reportedly still believes he is the injured party.

That changes the meaning of his return considerably.

If Harry still expects apologies from members of the Royal Family and from palace aides, while also refusing to issue a public apology himself, then the burden of rebuilding relationships remains highly complicated.

Geography has changed.

His position apparently has not.

That is especially important when considering Eugenie and Beatrice.

Unlike the highly publicized rift with William, Harry’s bond with his cousins was once seen as one of the few family relationships that survived the turbulence of recent years.

If that relationship has now faded too, it suggests Harry’s isolation may be broader than many people assumed.
