Although Food Network has not formally confirmed another season, host and creator Guy Fieri may have already let the news slip during the Season 7 finale.

After the final results were revealed, Fieri addressed runner-up Kevin Lee with a message that caught fans’ attention: he praised Lee’s “heart, determination, hard work, drive, fight,” and added, “I know without a doubt you will be back for Season 8.”

For many viewers, that line sounded less like encouragement—and more like confirmation.
