A wild conspiracy theory claims Vladimir Putin is living proof that time travel is real, after two snaps from 1920 and 1941 emerged showing men who look uncannily like the Russian President
Outlandish theories suggesting Russian President Vladimir Putin has somehow survived two world wars might at least offer some explanation for his wicked conduct in the 21st century.
The 73-year-old has blood on his hands following his order for Russian forces to storm Ukraine, with thousands dying on both sides during the conflict in eastern Europe.
But has the tyrannical leader witnessed such carnage previously?
Sharp-eyed history enthusiasts have uncovered photographs from 1920 and 1941, depicting individuals bearing a striking resemblance to the Kremlin chief.
Both images feature men with an angular nose and slender lips, mirroring Vlad’s features during his younger years, and clad in military uniform.

The monochrome photographs are sufficient to make observers pause and check they aren’t looking at doctored images, as they appear remarkably similar to a younger Putin.
The 1941 photograph seems to capture a Russian serviceman on active deployment for the Soviets throughout the Second World War.
The earlier 1920 picture would have been captured just two years following the end of World War One.
While seemingly implausible, the photographs – which initially surfaced publicly in 2015 – haven’t prevented conspiracy enthusiasts from pondering whether Putin might possess access to time travel technology.
Another notion allegedly promoted by devoted followers of the former KGB operative suggests the images point towards Mr Putin’s “immortal” characteristics.
Disclose.tv reported: “On social networks are circulating pictures from 1920, and in 1941, for which some people claim that they are pictures of Putin.
“In fact, supporters of the thesis that Putin is almighty and immortal have launched a story that their president is a mythical creature that resides on our planet for hundreds, if not thousands of years.”
That former Russian soldiers resemble contemporary individuals living in today’s Communist nation shouldn’t come as much of a shock.
Yet it occasionally seems as though Putin has existed eternally, having influenced Russia’s governance since 1999.
He assumed the presidency that year and has consistently consolidated authority, with international monitors describing Russian elections as a sham and the president’s rivals imprisoned.
Even prior to seizing power, Putin was familiar with conflict and scandal.
As head of the Federal Security Service (FSB) – the KGB’s successor – he was instrumental in orchestrating the initial Russian assaults during the Second Chechen War in 1999.
Moscow, employing tactics of devastation later witnessed in Putin’s forces’ actions in Syria and Ukraine’s Mariupol, conducted relentless aerial bombardments of Chechnya, compelling thousands to evacuate.
Alongside the current savage assault on Kyiv, throughout his rule, Russian forces have invaded Georgia, seized Crimea and supported Syrian tyrant President Bashar al-Assad in slaughtering his own citizens during the nation’s civil conflict.
Britain has also accused Russian operatives of orchestrating the novichok poisoning in Salisbury in 2018 that claimed a woman’s life and left a former Russian double agent and his daughter critically ill.
