WEDDING BELLE Love Island’s Ellie drops huge engagement ring bombshell on Finley – just days after the final
LOVE Island’s Ellie told partner Finley EXACTLY how he could make up for her missing out on the £50k prize fund in a mic drop moment.
The two made an appearance on Joe Bagg’s Not My Bagg podcast where the villa hunk was grilled by the host about fans anger that he stopped Ellie from winning the show – and the huge jackpot.
Ellie left the 2026 show alongside Finley after the islander found himself vulnerable after a public vote, asking her co-stars to vote for her to leave with him, having found her man on the show.
The moment prompted anger from some fans at the time, who were convinced that Ellie would have been victorious had Finley not been at risk of being dumped.
“So obviously you’ve left together, everyone thought that you guys were going to win at one point. Ellie, do you feel like Finn owes you 50K?” Joe quizzed the couple.
“No, honestly, I’ve got a savings pod,” Ellie joked. “Yeah, no, it was funny.”
The Aftersun star added that in an alternative universe, if Ellie chose to stay – and Finley left – she might have looked like she was in it for the money instead.
Reminiscing on the heartbreaking villa moment, Finley admitted: “I was like, I was never going to stand there and be like, please leave with me. But in my head I was screaming, please leave with me.”
Joe then admitted that there’s a strong track record of couples working out for those that left together based on a love connection.
He cited islanders Wil Anderson and Uma Jammeh, with the latter sensationally quitting the show in 2024 after Wil was dumped.
The couple have gone from strength to strength since with Wil popping the question to his lady love last July.
“I think they’re engaged, right?” he added, with Ellie piping up: “Yeah, they are.
She then jokily added: “That’s where the 50K is going. That’s where the 50K is going – on my finger.”
Despite Ellie’s bold engagement hint, Finley seemed unfazed by the comment.
