Katie Price has finally addressed the long-running speculation surrounding her relationship with Victoria Beckham, making it clear that she no longer considers there to be any bad blood between them. For more than two decades, the former glamour model and the Spice Girls star have repeatedly been portrayed as being locked in a bitter feud, with old interviews, alleged insults and comments about their personal lives helping to keep the story alive. However, after a decades-old clip of Victoria discussing Katie resurfaced and went viral, Katie responded publicly and appeared to make a surprising change in tone. Rather than attacking Victoria or reopening old arguments, the 48-year-old shared the clip on social media and insisted that she has no problem with her. She even praised Victoria, 52, describing her as an “amazing business woman,” seemingly drawing a line under years of speculation about their supposed rivalry.

The viral footage that prompted Katie’s response dates back to 2000, when Victoria was interviewed on T4 and asked about Katie, who was then widely known by her modelling name Jordan. At the time, their worlds had become connected through Katie’s then-boyfriend, Dane Bowers. The Another Level singer had worked with Victoria as she pursued music outside the Spice Girls, putting him in close contact with the pop star. During the interview, Victoria acknowledged that she knew Katie but suggested that they were no longer particularly familiar with each other. She also remarked that she doubted the two women would ever become best friends. Although the comments were relatively restrained, they were interpreted by many at the time as a swipe at Katie. As the years passed, that brief exchange became part of a much larger narrative suggesting that the pair had developed a serious personal dislike for one another.

Much of the original tension appears to have been connected to Katie’s relationship with Dane, whom she dated from 1998 until 2000. The tension between Katie and Victoria soon moved beyond speculation about Dane. Over the years, both women were reported to have made cutting remarks about each other. Katie once criticised Victoria for wearing a fake lip ring, questioning the example she was setting. Victoria responded forcefully, pointing to Katie’s own provocative modelling career and reportedly describing her in extremely unflattering terms. Katie dismissed the production as “manufactured, edited and boring,” suggesting that it presented a carefully controlled version of Victoria rather than something she personally wanted to see. Given their history, the remark naturally revived discussion about whether the pair were still feuding more than two decades after their first public exchanges. It appeared to fit the familiar narrative of Katie taking another shot at Victoria, particularly because both women had by then built long-running brands around their public identities and personal lives.

However, Katie’s more recent statements paint a noticeably different picture. On her podcast last month, she directly rejected the idea that she currently has an issue with Victoria. She said there was no feud from her side and explained that, if they met, she would be perfectly willing to say hello. Katie did acknowledge that she could not speak for Victoria or know whether Victoria still held any negative feelings toward her, but she repeatedly stressed that she personally had no problem with the former Spice Girl. Her Instagram reaction to the resurfaced T4 footage has now reinforced that position. Instead of responding defensively to Victoria’s old comments, Katie shared the video and wrote that she had “no problem” with Victoria, adding a red heart emoji and praising her success as a businesswoman. It was a notably warmer response than many people might have expected given their long and complicated history.

Katie’s latest comments therefore seem less like another chapter in a celebrity war and more like an attempt to close one. The two women undeniably exchanged criticism in the past, and Katie herself has repeatedly discussed moments when she believed Victoria had insulted or antagonised her. Yet Katie is now making a clear distinction between what happened decades ago and how she feels today. Her message suggests that whatever resentment once existed has faded, at least from her perspective. After 26 years of rumours about a bitter conflict, Katie has effectively made a 180-degree turn by publicly praising Victoria and insisting she bears her no ill will.
