Stacey Solomon has opened up about the reason she will not be sharing photos of the exterior of her new family home after leaving the beloved Pickle Cottage. The TV presenter and her husband, Joe Swash, recently made the emotional decision to move away from the Tudor-style Essex property where they had created countless memories since 2021. While the couple still holds a deep affection for their former home, they believe their new property will provide more space and opportunities for their growing family, including room to grow vegetables and rescue more animals.

The move came as a surprise to many fans because Stacey had always described Pickle Cottage as her dream home. Since purchasing the property, she had shared its transformation journey with millions of followers, even documenting the renovations in her book, Tap To Tidy Pickle Cottage. The house became a special part of her public life, with fans following every update as Stacey turned it into a warm and personalized family space. However, despite the emotional connection, Stacey and Joe decided that relocating was the right choice for their future.
Stacey explained that leaving Pickle Cottage was one of the biggest decisions the couple had ever made. She admitted that saying goodbye to the house felt almost impossible because it was the place where some of the most important moments of their lives happened. The couple got married there, and Stacey also gave birth to both of their daughters at the property. She described Pickle Cottage as a truly meaningful place for their family and said they only considered leaving once they found someone who would genuinely love and appreciate the home as much as they did.
Joe Swash also shared that the decision was not easy because the family had built their entire life around Pickle Cottage. However, he believes the move is ultimately the best choice for their family. The couple hopes that their new home will allow them to create even more memories while giving them the freedom and space they need to continue developing their lifestyle. One of Stacey’s main goals is to have enough land to grow her own vegetables, as her current garden area was located on a neighbouring farmer’s property, and to have more space for the animals they hope to rescue in the future.

After officially settling into the new house, Stacey returned to social media to share a glimpse of the family’s new chapter. She posted a video featuring her daughter Rose exploring the empty living room, admitting that waking up somewhere other than Pickle Cottage felt unusual. Although the transition was emotional, Stacey expressed excitement about starting fresh and discovering what the new home could become. She told followers that she was looking forward to taking her time with the project instead of rushing through the decorating process.
However, Stacey revealed that there is one major difference between how she will share this home compared with Pickle Cottage. She confirmed that she will not be showing the exterior of the new property. According to Stacey, this decision comes from concerns about privacy and security after the family experienced problems while living at Pickle Cottage. She explained that protecting her family is the priority, and keeping the outside appearance of the building private is a safer option for everyone.
Although fans will not see the full exterior of the new home, Stacey reassured them that she is still excited to invite them into the different rooms and share the interior transformation journey. She said she would love to get ideas, inspiration, and advice from her followers as she works on making the house feel like a true family home. Stacey emphasized that the project is a huge undertaking and that she will need plenty of creative suggestions along the way.

For now, Stacey plans to enjoy the process of settling in and learning what each space needs before making major changes. She wants the new house to develop naturally and reflect the family’s personality rather than being completed too quickly. While Pickle Cottage will always remain a special chapter in Stacey and Joe’s lives, their new home represents a fresh beginning filled with possibilities, more space, and a stronger focus on family privacy and security.
