Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have given fans an early glimpse of their new family home after saying goodbye to their much-loved £1.3 million Pickle Cottage.

The television couple recently confirmed that they were leaving the Essex property after five years and moving to a new home with more land, marking the beginning of what Stacey has described as a fresh family project.

The 36-year-old presenter shared a touching photograph of the family together inside the entrance of their new property, along with another image showing her holding the keys to the house.

She also revealed that the family has already given the new chapter a familiar nickname, referring to the property as the “Pickle Project”.

The move comes shortly after Stacey and Joe, 44, announced that Pickle Cottage had been sold.

The couple had lived at the Tudor-style home since 2021 and transformed much of the property themselves, regularly sharing renovation projects and family moments with their social media followers.

Pickle Cottage became far more than just a house for the family.

Stacey gave birth to daughters Rose and Belle there, while she and Joe also celebrated their wedding at the property in July 2022.

The couple share three children together — Rex, Rose and Belle — while Stacey is also mother to older sons Zachary and Leighton. Joe has a son, Harry, from a previous relationship.

Their decision to move was therefore an emotional one.

Stacey previously explained that leaving the home had taken considerable thought and that the family wanted to make sure their children, neighbours and close friends knew about the plans before the news became public.

Despite their attachment to Pickle Cottage, the couple said the opportunity to move somewhere with more land was difficult to ignore.

One of Stacey’s long-term ambitions has been to create more space for growing vegetables and caring for rescue animals.

The family already keeps animals and has developed a substantial vegetable garden, but Stacey said their previous home did not offer enough of their own land to expand those plans in the way she wanted.

The new property is said to provide considerably more outdoor space, giving the couple an opportunity to develop a larger vegetable plot and potentially provide a home for more animals.

Stacey has also made clear that the new house will require significant work.

Rather than moving into a finished property, she appears excited about taking on another major renovation and putting her family’s personality into the home.

That process is expected to become a new project for the presenter, who has built a large following through her enthusiasm for home organisation, decorating and DIY transformations.

Before leaving Pickle Cottage, Stacey shared an emotional collection of photographs and videos documenting some of the family’s memories from their years there.

The montage included renovations, celebrations and major family milestones, reflecting how closely the house had become associated with their lives.

She also expressed gratitude to the people who had followed the family’s journey at the property and wished the new owners happiness in the home.

Joe has backed the decision to move, saying the couple believes the change will ultimately be right for their family.

Although they have left behind a property filled with memories, both appear enthusiastic about what comes next.

For Stacey in particular, the chance to transform another home seems to be part of the attraction.

After spending years restoring and personalising Pickle Cottage, she has said she is excited by the prospect of doing something similar again in a new setting.

The family’s first images from the property suggest that work on the “Pickle Project” is only just beginning — and Stacey’s followers are likely to see plenty more of the transformation as the family settles into its new home.
