Prince Harry’s attempt to rebuild his relationship with King Charles may contain an uncomfortable contradiction. At precisely the moment Harry and Meghan Markle appear interested in repairing one fractured family relationship, another reportedly remains beyond repair — and this time, Harry is standing on the opposite side of the divide.

The central figure is Thomas Markle.

According to claims made by Neil Sean on Neil Sean’s Daily News Headlines, Harry and Meghan have allegedly concluded that they have no plans to establish contact with Meghan’s father, either now or in the future. Sean stressed the alleged nature of the information, but claimed Harry was particularly keen for the position to be made clear.

If accurate, the decision creates an extraordinary contrast with the Sussexes’ developing relationship with King Charles.

Harry has never met Thomas Markle in person. Sean says the two men have had only around two brief telephone conversations. Thomas has also never met Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet.

King Charles, by comparison, has met his grandchildren, and Harry and Meghan are now reportedly “very keen to reconnect” with him.

That difference becomes more significant because Sean claims Thomas Markle was actually discussed during Harry and Meghan’s recent UK visit.

According to Sean’s source, conversations took place at two locations during the trip, with discussions focusing on the future and how damaged relationships might develop from this point. Sean claims one subject particularly important to Charles was the treatment of Thomas.

Charles himself has never met Meghan’s father.

Yet according to Sean, the King had been upset by how Thomas was treated.

This produces perhaps the most complicated element of the entire story. Harry understands better than most people what it means to experience a painful separation from a father. His own relationship with Charles deteriorated dramatically after he and Meghan stepped away from royal duties. Now, however, Harry appears interested in rebuilding that connection.

Thomas Markle, if Sean’s information is correct, will not be offered the same possibility.

Sean does acknowledge that Thomas made mistakes.

“Certain things he shouldn’t have done,” he said, adding that he believes Thomas himself would probably acknowledge that.

But Sean’s larger question is whether those mistakes justify a permanent separation not only from Meghan but also from Archie and Lilibet.

That question becomes harder to ignore when looking back at Meghan and Harry’s wedding.

Sean notes that Meghan had opportunities to invite relatives, friends and acquaintances. Instead, prominent guests included Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and members of the cast of Suits. Sean offers strongly critical personal interpretations of those choices and the motivations of some guests, but the relevant point for the current family dispute is simpler: Thomas was absent, and the distance between father and daughter subsequently became permanent.

Years later, there is reportedly still no path back.

The recent UK visit might have provided an opportunity to reconsider that position. Instead, according to Sean, Harry and Meghan reached or reiterated the opposite conclusion.

They allegedly have “no plans to make contact with Thomas Markle now or indeed in the future.”

Meanwhile, their relationship with Charles appears to be moving in a different direction.

Sean says Harry and Meghan largely “stuck to the rules” during their recent visit and behaved as expected. Behind the scenes, conversations reportedly focused on what could happen next and how relationships damaged over recent years might be developed.

There was, however, another reported source of tension.

Sean claims Meghan was deeply unhappy because she did not receive a particular photograph. He says photographs involving King Charles and Queen Camilla, along with a separate image of Charles with Archie and Lilibet, remain under the King’s control.

There is no independent confirmation in the material presented of Meghan’s alleged reaction, so that claim should remain clearly separated from established fact.

Sean also places the family drama against the Sussexes’ commercial circumstances.

He argues that Harry and Meghan’s ambitious post-royal plans have not developed as successfully as anticipated and believes they require significant income to sustain their lifestyle. He discusses their ventures critically and questions whether certain projects could ever generate the money they need.

Much of this section is Sean’s personal opinion, particularly his comments about Meghan’s career and motivations.

He also revisits Prince William’s reported advice to Harry before his marriage. According to Sean, William’s concern was essentially that Harry should take time and ensure Meghan genuinely wanted the royal life she was entering.

Sean compares this with William’s relationship with Catherine, arguing that Catherine had time to experience life outside the royal institution and understand what she was choosing before marriage.

But the commercial arguments are secondary to the deeper family contradiction now emerging.

Harry’s story has increasingly become one about reconciliation. He reportedly wants stronger connections with Britain and with his father. Charles, meanwhile, has become an important figure in the possibility of rebuilding relationships after years of public conflict.

Thomas Markle represents the reverse.

One grandfather has been allowed to meet Archie and Lilibet and may now be moving closer to Harry again. The other has never met the children and, according to Sean’s source, should not expect that situation to change.

That does not automatically make the two family disputes equivalent. The circumstances, histories and individual actions are different, and the material provided does not establish everything that has occurred privately between Meghan and her father.

But the contrast remains striking.

Harry knows what estrangement from a father costs. Charles knows what estrangement from a son costs. Their recent interactions suggest that even after years of bitterness, some relationships may still be reopened.

Thomas Markle apparently remains outside that principle.

And if Sean’s information proves accurate, the most difficult question arising from Harry’s reconciliation with Charles may eventually have nothing to do with the Royal Family.
